Personal
I moved with my husband to Denver in December of 2012 and have thoroughly enjoyed making Denver my home. I take advantage of all the great activities Colorado has to offer and am particularly fond of running, yoga, hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Areas of Specialty
I have had the privilege of working with a wide array of clients dealing with a multitude of issues throughout the life spectrum. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, mood disorders, and general life transitions. I work with adults aged 18+. I am fortunate to have a vast network of fellow clinicians and am happy to provide referrals should the need arise.
Therapeutic Approach
I draw from several modalities of therapy including interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, ACT, and solutions focused and cater my approach to what will best match the therapeutic needs of each individual.
Education & Training
I received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After working in corporate America I found my calling to return to school and received my Master of Arts in Community Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Since then I have had the privilege of working with a vast array of clients in a multitude of settings ranging from marginalized individuals to hospitalized clients to undergraduate college counseling to eating disorder treatment programs.
